I've been doing fairly well at exercising. I'm wearing a pedometer most days to keep track of my steps. On the days I walk for exercise, I walk well over the 10,000 recommended steps. On the days that I do not walk, I typically reach about half that. On the days that I do not walk for exercise, I usually do a push up/sit up/squat regimen. I am following a program to do 100 push ups/200 sit ups/200 squats in 6 weeks. Since I've added this regimen I have lost a couple of pounds.
I am tracking my food consumption on most days as well. I try to stay within 1700 calories per day, but I seem to slip on the weekends. During the week I have a set schedule and routine, however the weekends are much more relaxed and never the same. I eat out more on the weekends. I need to make better choices when eating out. I have, however learned to drink water rather than sweet tea when eating out. It saves me a little bit of money and it's better for me! :)
This lifestyle change is a constant work in progress. I'm taking baby steps right now. Soon I will be off & running.
I keep reminding myself that I didn't gain all this weight overnight so I'm certainly not going to lose it overnight!!
I didn't walk yesterday like I'm supposed to...had a family birthday dinner. I did however get a few push ups, sit ups & squats in so I didn't completely fail in the exercise department.
