So my latest news is this:
I developed an upper respiratory infection and lost my voice. I haven't been able to speak for 3 days now. I was able to get a doctor's note and take it to my HR dept to mitigate the effects of missing 4 consecutive days of work. And since I need to stay home but can't talk, I am actually looking forward to working on Black Friday. (Oh, for the chance to be around people and talk and do stuff!) In the meantime it looks like it may be a long weekend. O_o
