Where are you going? I want to go too!!! I did lunges today with stable leg up on about a 10” box. First time ever and was awesome!! Have you done this one? Also did sumo squats with kettlebell for first time and actually enjoyed it. I must be getting stronger. You are inspiring RPL.

We are headed to St. John! Good job on the lunges. I have never done them that way but have seen the trainer working with someone who was. I am a little unstable so not sure how I would do! Love Sumo squats. They are my warm up now to the Hex Bar but I still do multiple reps of these if I am on my own and not at the gym. Record yourself because you can see your arm muscles pop when doing those. 💪

I dont think they have a hex bar as it is not a gym in the traditional sense but a full physical therapy center (albeit really nice one with top of the line equipment) but mostly they have kettlebells, machines a wall of machines that work on pulleys for weight (forgot what it is called but is easier on the joints). Sadly i think my arm muscles are still MIA. Maybe by summertime…have you been to St. John before and if so what kind of things do you do there? Is that a French speaking island?

@YOH -St. John is the smallest of the 3 U.S. Virgin Islands, which are located in the Caribbean. We went last year and fell in love. We do catamaran’s, beach days, snorkeling and sun bathing! The hex bar is a great one for your bigger muscles and helps burn more calories. My trainer uses all traditional equipment and trains 10-80 year olds. I am sure you will get your arm muscles by summer. It just takes time and you look amazing. If I had not gone thru cancer and treatments I maybe would consider a tummy tuck because I can’t believe how great you look but I can’t do anything intentionally that involves needles or being sedated after 9 months of treatment and surgery-it is a mental thing for me. But like I told you - you inspired me to wear a two piece on my cruise last fall! Let’s be the best we can!!

@Shark- I have a trainer and he believes in the basics but I do love the kettle bells. I have a 45# at home so that I can use it if needed if I don’t have a gym day. They are versatile!
