I am glad to see you back, Debbie! You're off to a great start, but as you said consistency is necessary to achieve long term weight loss. What you with recording food, or jounalling is your choice and you can do whatever you like. I must say that I emphatically agree with your doctor about the HCG diet. I usually don't have feelings about other people's diets, especially if it is working for them, but I really don't believe the HCG protocol is in your body's best interest. Having said that, GOOD LUCK my friend!
