It has been a rather eventful last 4 days. Saturday was a wonderful day until about 3 PM when the weather changed and we were under a tornado alert. Several tornadoes hit the midstate area of TN. The alert sounded and the news said a tornado had touched down in Springfield. We live less than 10 miles from where it hit and the tornado was traveling east and north toward us. However, it turned more northward and trailed into KY. Another hit south of us about 10 miles and also went east. Both did considerable damage, and unfortunately lives were lost. Another tornado hit in Clarksville TN where Ft. Campbell is located, and probably did more damage than the other 2. We were very fortunate and only received some rain,....which quite frankly the area needed. While all of this was going on, we went to the basement and my wife continued to prepare for dinner, and was cooking us a pot of chili. We never lost power. We ate on the chili, and I temporarily gained a couple of pounds. But, am now back to below where I started. Chili is one of my favorites comfort dishes. Please pray for the survivors and their families of the tornadoes. There is so much damage in the area. Everyone keep focusing, keep exercising, and keep losing / maintaining your weight. God is good. Time to go play golf, and, yes, it is cold this morning. But going up into the 50s.
