Yesterday was super warm, drank a ton of water. Puppy class, so no walk, but I did a 25 minute rowing session in an 87 degree room with two fans on me. First time I’ve ever stopped a workout and switched to another more low-paced one after about 5 minutes, but it was too hot to do some hard sprints. Learning to listen to my body as I get older. Now, as i say that, i didn’t seal up the house and turn on the AC either.
BF ended up heading back east again yesterday to support some family issues. A disappointing summer as far as spending more time together, but he’s supported me through family drama and trauma and I will do the same for him. The upside is we talk a lot more and I think we both really love each other as people if that makes sense.
Recomp is progressing. Blob continues to recede, which is the whole point of this macro adjustment experiment. Trying to maintain muscle overall. Tried on some more forgotten dresses from the closet last night. Success is showing there, belly bloat is down almost 4”. Dresses were from the early “glory days” in the workplace with the competitive dressing thing going on. I’m so over that. Tossed three suits into the donate pile. I used to interview for sport, always found it interesting, may pick that back up again. Always good to know my options, but I am not really willing to work in an office full time again.
My niece told me the other night that grandma is sad all the time and needs a dog. What do you do with brutal facts like that? I agree, so will be looking for a smaller pet for her. I do think it needs to be a dog because she’s not walking every day the way she did with Sadie. Chance is too big, Lili is a brat and very strong, so putting it out to the universe for the right things to fall into place.
