so, my daily nutritional goal is 1600 calories, 30% protein, 30% fats and 40% carbs. I'm killing it on the calorie end, but really lagging in the other area! My diet is consisting of more fats than anything 😬. Since I'm not much of a meat eater, I'm really struggling with my proteins .

I have that same issue too being a vegetarian. My fats are always more than needed probably because I love cheese

I struggle too, so I just try to eat well-balanced meals with lots of variety.

I have the same macro goals and have likewise struggled to meet them with fat going too high. I’m not there yet at my goal consistently but I’m making progress. What helps: getting more protein from plants. I replaced mainly starchy carbs like rice, potatoes, pasta with things like beans, buckwheat, quinoa, etc. Those things help with protein, helping reduce the animal based protein to lean meats and non-fat dairy, thus helping with lowering fat. I still have animal based protein with every meal, just less and paired with more plant-based. I use small amounts of olive and avocado oil.

Some of my go to foods to hit my protein goals are non fat Greek yogurt and low fat cottage cheese. Also don't be afraid to use whey protein powder to supplement days that you're running low. For example I use a half a scoop of vanilla every morning in my coffee it adds 15g of protein and only 90 calories. There are also alot of other foods that have began using high protein sources for example Kodiak protein Pancakes and Banza Gluten Free Pasta Made from Chickpeas. There are also many snacks that have been geared to highrr protein like, bars, chips, and even ice cream.

plan you meals the day before, log what you would realistically eat the day before so you can tweak it to meet you macros.
