Hi all. Please refresh my memory. The RDI on our FatSecret profiles, is it the calorie deficit RDI total or so do we still need to eat in deficit of the total. I hope I am making sense.

The total amount RDI you see after inputting the values is the amount of calories you may eat in a day. I still try to eat even less than the RDI shown to cut even more.

The RDI is the amount that you're allowed to eat. Your deficit will be between the calories you ate and your calories burned (exercise, sleep and rest).

The RDI on this app is way off... I suggest calculating your BMR and then up/lower the calories according to your goals

I agree with Ry, the RDI on this app seems heavily inflated. Calculating my BMR on TDEE calculator gives me less 500 than FatSecret does, and is closer to what I should logically be eating daily.

I'm supposed to eat 2700 Cal, but only ate 700 Cal, lost 30kg in 2 months. Feeling good. So yeah just reduce your daily calories consumed, with a balance of protein and carbs.

That’s the amount of calories you burn in a day in resting state. Factor in how many calories you burn exercising and the pain to eat 300-500 calories less than that.

Try 1500 kcal/day. It works for most women. If you don’t lose anything, gradually lower it towards 1200. If you’re a guy, you can start with 2000 and check your results.
