I FEEL TRAPPED HERE! Yesterday we see on our cameras that our Puppysitter of 4-1/2 years thought it was fine to leave her boyfriend alone in our house with our babies while she went to work. I had told her he could visit but we have never allowed her to have anyone except her mother and brother in our house before. It was just that 30 days is such a long time i made an exception. And then she leaves this guy we dont know alone in our house. I was beside myself. Took a couple hours then sent a polite but to the point message to her that she was who we trusted with our dogs and our house and no one else and that it was not okay for him to be there. She did the mature thing, called me immediately, apologized profusely said would never happen again. Then, two hours later she texts me asking if she can take our boys a couple hours north fri-sun so she could attend a renaissance fair and would leave them in a hotel with a “friend” we have never met. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! The most precious thing in the world to me after my child and hubs are these dogs. (Yes i love my extended family but its the truth). So here i am trapped medically till next Wednesday minimum. I was about to just say (&(*&(& it and leave anyway . My child who I’ve done more for than anyone would ever believe said she had plans all weekend and couldnt help. Of course. I usually get that answer from her so i rarely ask her for anything. Rant for another day and different platform. My neighbors across the street who have a dog identical to our white boy as well as an American golden retriever happened to text me just then and i unloaded. Guess what, they are going to take care of them for me. They will probably be alone most of those 3 days but they will feed, water, potty, hug and kennel them at night. They love their dogs same as we do. They may bring them to their house which is fine. And THENNNNNN it was 99 degrees at home and the power went out. We dont have AC at our house just the portable vent out the window hose type which keeps house tolerable but not cool. Needless to say i want to go home. So badly. Lastly, 3 days ago we met a guy with a smallish beautiful black pit bull rescue. He has had for 2 months and wants to rehome her. He’s an idiot. He’s daily bar-b-queuing 6 pizzas (for himself yes) and leaves her tied to a tree and disappears for an hour. I felt like i couldnt leave till he came back. I finally went into the hotel and found him and told him he needed to come and get her. She looked so worried. He’s such an idiot. Yesterday he ties her in the sun while hes in the hot tub. Mind you its in the high 90’s here. No water for her. I went over and gave her water multiple times told him to get her out of the sun. He says, “i thought she wanted to be in the sun”. No dumbass she’s nervous. He was busy tending his pizza and she nearly gets to the side parking lot which is on a busy street. I took his phone number. I have a friend with contacts and we are trying to help this idiot rehome her. She’s very sweet and friendly. Love-a-duck what is wrong with people. I think im normally a pretty positive person but right now I just want to scream. And im still so stiff and owie. Crap. Kind of hope no one reads this because i must sound like im off my rocker.
