Diario de Ruby Poinciana, 24 jul. 23

I have undone most of the damage from Saturday. A shared breakfast, which in itself was fine, but I allowed it to become a cheat day. It wasn't even worth it. Just mindless eating. It didn't help that I was unwell, and not in a good headspace... ..yet another course of antibiotics

I chose not to log my weight yesterday, I had gained 1.8kgs overnight 😱

The trouble with cheat days is they tend to rollover into the next day and easily become a cheat week or more. I reflected on how I could have done things differently and I'm in a better headspace today,

l gor my strength workout and meal prep done and will be doing zumba after work.

I am also taking aloe vera which is certainly doing the trick in that department. Thank you for the tip Jay Poppy.

sometimes we focus too much on our weight and lose sight of enjoying life, a blowout now and again is good for the soul and I think we need to look at the bigger picture, it is when we forget our diets for long periods we suffer. Keep going losing weight but don't lose sight of the fact you also have a life to enjoy, my wife and I had massive big beef stew for tea Saturday night , followed by steamed golden syrup sponge and we sunk 2 bottle of good red wine, I had massive hangover and up 500 grams , back down so no harm, you keep on going your doing well

Glad to hear the aloe Vera is working seems to be the only thing that works for me , hang in there you are doing well 🙌

You’re amazing!! Keep chipping along and things will follow. But sometimes we need to enjoy a yummy meal/day or weekend without thinking about our weight or our calories. As long as you get back to your healthy eating and balanced lifestyle ❤️

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement, It's just one of those weeks. Motivation and willpower are fleeting, which is why habit and discipline are so important. A stressful Monday and that time of the month, but I shall persevere...

weight shouldn't be the only metric that you judge yourself on. constantly weighing yourself is a trap. instead focus on your overall fitness and happiness your weight loss will follow and you won't be so stressed about it!
