Buy a pair of padded bike shorts. Some of the pain you will get over by just riding and toughening up your backside. Get a pair of gel padded shorts if you are just starting. If you keep with it you might find that the gel shorts pinch after long rides and you will buy a pair of chamois padded shorts. Also pair of bike shoes with clip in pedals might help you keep your tired feet on the pedals and stiff soles of cycling shoes will save your feet. If you have any other cycling questions don't be afraid to ask. I used to teach indoor cycling and I ride outside alot. My longest day in the saddle is 278 miles. I had a sore ... LOL :)
