Hi, beautiful community. just wanted some advice and I figured the best place to get it would be here. how do you all handle weekends out, or eating at someone else's house? what's your mental approach, what's your strategy, how do you track it?
I'd really appreciate your guys' feedback.

personally i skip a meal to save up more calories to use when im out and i sometimes cut off an extra 100 to 200 calories throughout the week to use on weekends when i go out

Well, since I can't take my scale to someone else's dinner table, I over estimate my portions when I add it later, and I focus on my weekly average instead of the weekend itself.

I also skip breakfast but I also eat at maintenance instead of staying in a deficit which allows me to calorie cycle while not feeling bad about eating too much. I feel like it's much more sustainable and I don't feel like I have to make up for it the next day. I just move on with my life and go back to my deficit.

I consider it my cheat meal for the week. Why go to someones house or a restaurant and stress about what you can and can't eat. Life is too short. If you want a slice of cake - have a small piece, if you want potatoe salad - have a small portion. You can cut out bread and rice. Just manage your portions but don't make yourself miserable

I've started looking at the weekly averages and try to keep that below my allotted calories and above my protein goal. So if I know I'm going to go to an event or something then I try to balance it out a little on other days.

I drink 500ml-750ml before we go so that I’m a bit full and hydrated so I don’t confuse thirst for hunger
