Problem. Last night around 2 or 3 in the morning a bunch of my friends and I were at rivercity casino. We were having some fun, actually winning. And some of us got hungry. I had only had 1200 calories, so I figured why not? I logged the food as breakfast for that morning and not for the day that had ended only 3 hours ago.

Should I have logged it for yesterday or today? Or should I have split the food between the two days? I don't feel hungry..I'm quite content actually...but I was just wondering what you guys would do.

I would have done what you did. I don't think it matters where you put the calories, as long as you record them so you know they are there! It's not like your body knows that the day has ended so the calorie alottment has started again, that's something we monitor for ourselves, to keep us on track. And I just wanted to comment that it was awesome that you logged it! I think that's the most important part! If you can record it and be honest with yourself, that's the best thing to do! Everyone on here recognizes that once in a while life gets in the way of our weight loss goals, but as long as we stay dedicated we'll be successful in the end! :)

I agree anything after 1200 Midnight should be considered Breakfast if you are a normal day person. I eat Breakfast sometimes at 2 or 3 dependant when the day starts for me. Shift workers would probably just usually call the meal what ever time of day it would be for them. So glad you logged it!

For stuff like that I just make sure my dietary goals are met over the 2 days. Like if I were shooting for 1800 calories & ate an extra 200 after midnight, I'd eat 1600 the following day to offset. If 1600 was too low, I might even spread it out & just eat 50 calories less over the next 4 days...or chalk it up & not offset it at all.
