It's Groundhog Day Again!

I still weigh 143 lbs. For the last six months I've weighed either 143 or 141 every day. Honestly-I am running out of patience! I have to step it up-but wait I did step it up-running 5-6 days a week/weights 2-3 per week in addition to calisthenics everyday. It's the food-like Buff Nancy says...Therefore, hear me now as I declare in front of the 4 people that read my journal. No More Refined Carbs! Goodbye corn tortillas :( More Veggies! Hello Cabbage :(

I went to the Red Dot Boutique last night to pick up some kitty litter (it was an emergency). I bought a pair of trousers-so cute-grey, wide legged, not too low waisted. They had a size 6 and a size 10-no size eight. I've been wearing size eights that feel too big and I have a size 6 pair from Banana that fit so I went with optimism and chose the size six. Horrors! I couldn't zip them up beyond the first inch and even then I was risking organ failure. I hate when clothes not only do not fit but somehow these trousers managed to shine a spotlight on the part of my body where the fat rules. I want it gone!!!!

I am going to focus and get the fat off. Less about the weight. Back to the measuring tape. I am gonna put the scale away for the moment.

Hope everyone is having a chillaxing day!

Peace Out.

How many calories a day? Lazy me will have to check out your food diary. I must have a carb vortex in my house. If you suddenly find you are missing bread or pasta, it's probably here.

mine too, except for the corn tortillas-my stepson is German and will only eat brown things :) Still I find I cannot eat it or boom I get another layer of dough. Basically, I can only eat green things (vegetables) and clear things (water and air). I better not dwell on it-I have been chocolate free for 3 days-gotta keep the mojo working.

What kind of exercise are you doing? Unfortunately, I've found out that my body hovers around the 140's if I don't exercise. In order for my to get down to 130 I HAVE to exercise 4-6 days a week...esp w/the way I eat and esp once I hit the 30's (age). Hey at least you didn't gain 12-13 lbs like I did. What I would do to consistantly stay in the low 130's! Cheer up, Densible... it could always be worse. ;)

Maybe your body is used to the type of exercise? Try another exercise. What's your max heart rate while exercising? If it's not 60-80% of max...try turning it up a notch w/some high interval training. good luck!

I'm feeling your pain, Sister! Why oh why must we suffer this way? I was exercising like crazy and not losing either, so that's why I'm going to try keeping track of calories via the Weight Watchers point system. I'm doing it on my own. It's taking more time to keep track of carbs AND points but it'll get easier as time goes on. I am writing everything down. I kept the materials from when I used to do Weight Watchers several years ago. But I have learned by doing the ATkins plan that I must keep my carbs down (refined and sugars) because if I get started on regular bread, pretzels and such I can't stop! So I'm adding good carbs back in like whole grain foods and more fruits but watching the calories too. When I was doing Weight Watchers before, and eating a lot of salads and such, I found that a few hours later I was still hungry. It just didn't stick to my gut. Evelyn suggested foods with more fiber to make me feel more full which makes a lot of sense. Maybe if you start keeping track of your calories you'll find whether you are eating too much or too little. Definitely kick those refined carbs out of the house! By the way, you wear size 8's?! I'd KILL to be able to wear a size 8 right now! :) Let's do this Girlfriend! Don't despair!!

Make that 5 people! No refined carbs is a big step. They're a little different at first, but so much better for you. I've eaten whole wheat pastas and breads for so long that I prefer them now. The refined stuff tastes weird. LOL

dENSE!! ok ok...am I the only one that crax up when I read your journals? Dude, let's just say that I get plenty of stomach workout just by taking a detour over here! fracken carbs...taste so good, yet soooo bad.

I found I really like shredded cabbage, cooked with spaghetti sauce. (parmesan cheese helps too) Just an alternative to pasta... I found sprouted corn (non-gmo) tortillas that I can handle in small amounts. They are sooooo good! See if your store has them... Hang in there! We'll get this figured out!
