Diario de GorgedLeech, 19 oct. 14

So, I was feeling a bit ill on Friday, so didn't go to the gym, but ate pretty well. Saturday and Sunday were a bit bad - possibly ate too much junk food (most of a pack of Arnotts shapes, then some choc-chip cookies and a thousand pieces of cake that a friend brought round) , and still feeling a bit down about putting on weight after all of my work at the gym. Ugh.

Anyway - had a hard time getting to the gym this morning, but sort of forced myself not to think about a) putting on weight while attending and b) how horrible the workout is. I did try to think about how much more flexible I have been feeling, rather than really tightly wound and like an old person.

Anyway - thought if I had a few extra bits of whole bread for lunch I would be full for the afternoon. Now to keep up with my water in take.

If you've put on weight since going to the gym, it could be that you've converted fat to muscle and you know that muscle weighs more than fat right. It might be worth measuring you waist etc in future and checking to see if you've lost cm as well as kg...Congratulations on pushing yourself into the gym!:)

Thanks for your encouraging comment Cattsaway. I hope it is muscle - I read somewhere that muscle retains water a bit after starting to workout, and that my metabolism could take a few weeks to catch up - Lets hope! I will take your advice and get some measurements going. The scales are too horrible!
