So I am about a month shy of my one year anniversary here on FS. Today I had my 6 month check-in with my endocrinologist. I’ve lost about 10 pounds since July but my LDL cholesterol went back up. Not quite as high as February 2021 but still up since a better number in July. Now why would that be? 1) I know I’m not exercising enough. 2) When life got a little crazy at the end of the summer, one result was that I stopped tracking my intake. So now even though I did lose a little more weight, I can’t analyze what I ate to see why the LDL was higher again. Moral of story: tracking is important and obviously I can’t just go off on my own and wing it. And I need to move more.
Anyone else dealing with the ups and downs of cholesterol? I am trying to get to and stay in that healthy range so I don’t have to go on medications.
Hope everyone has a great week.
TIA,

My reading says that high LDL is caused by high carbohydrate consumption, studies say, not high fat intake. Look into it; maybe go lower on carbs. My bias is for low carb/keto, so that's my understanding.
