Diario de HealthyBabs, 02 abr. 11

So, I had a pretty busy day today. I tested out three new low carb recipes. The first is Bab's Almond Flax Strawberry Scones. Very good revision of my initial scone recipe. The second was for Bab's Curried Roasted Sweet Potato & Chicken Salad. This was excellent and a nice way to incorporate some sweet potato which I LOVE into my diet without blowing it on the carbs. It was great in a lettuce wrap for dinner. The third is Bab's Low Carb Lemon Bar. Not totally thrilled with that one, it needs some tweaking as I thought they were a little too eggy. You can go to my food journal and click on the link in my log. They are all on my food journal for today, at least you can see all the ingredients. I don't submit them for publication because as we all know, you can't edit it after that.
Boo-Hiss, one of my biggest peeves about this site.

Inspirational menu idea Babs, they sound real tasty. About the lemon bars that are too eggy it would be nice if you could edit a published recipe. TOWANDA!!!

Lisa - That is why I don't publish. I will keep working on this one until I perfect them, just not again this weekend. I don't think I could get DH to try another lemon bar for a few weeks. :)

So I tried to copy the image here, guess that didn't work. What am I doing wrong???? Can anyone help. I have photoscape.

Make sure you entered/pasted the source and image codes correctly. the "HREF=" and "IMG SRC=" tags have to be opened like this at the beginning of the tag "<a" (quotemarks for illustration only) and closed at the end "</a>" Photoscape should have a place in your account where it gives you the source code for your images. Hope this helps!

This isn't html code. When you edit your post & click the image icon, it plus in these [img][/img] tags. What you need to do in Photoscape is find the URL to the image itself, not the page displaying the image. I use Picasa, & I have to right-click the image then look at the Properties to get the URL, which has to end with .jpg. Copy that & paste it between the [img] tags & you're fine, assuming the image is publicly viewable.

Sorry didn't mean to confuse anyone! I don't use the [IMG][/IMG] tags, but you can. They are known as BBCode, or bulletin board code, and are supposed to make it easier for people to post pictures on forums like this. I just copy and use the straight code, and it works.

Babs, you can set up a photo bucket acct (free), upload the pictures there, resize them to 640x420, then copy the IMG code and paste it in your journal.

I want to post some pix too, but haven't had time or patience to work with them on this site yet. Someday.... But the strawberry scones in particular sound awesome. Will have to check that one out.

YEAH, I figured it out. Stef, I remembered I had already set up a photobucket account....just had to remember the login info. Much easier to use than photoscape! Thanks everybody for the assist. Enjoy the pics!

Bab's Curried Sweet Potato & Chicken Salad - Take II, got the Net Carbs down to 5 for a one cup serving. Added some chopped apple and celery which stretch it out to more servings. Just had some for lunch and to be honest 1/4 cup (1.2 NC's)was plenty but then again, I had a really late breakfast today.

I LOVE LOVE love lemon bars-and if you created a recipe with lo-carbs I'm in love with you!!lol.I will have to show this to my mom to make for easter-thanks!!!
