Since contracting a cold the night before Thanksgiving, eating and exercise have been rather forced. Although I could taste food through Friday, since then my taste buds and olfactory senses have become muted at best. So, I've been eating just to keep up my strength. I've consumed quite a lot of decaf hot tea, about 120 ounces per day on Saturday and Sunday, and it has helped somewhat. I've continued to exercise, except for Sunday, and have ridden about 62 miles, though it has been at a rather medium-slow pace. My wife made a great turkey vegetable soup for today and tonight, and though I cannot, at this point, taste it, the warmth and liquidity have certainly helped with this cold. I am back down to 186 pounds, and this is the lowest since 3/20/21. I am really looking forward to the Christmas / New Year's holidays, and am hopeful to be down another 4 - 5 pounds by then since the culinary festivities will be a challenge for me.
