Yesterday was amazing in every way. Good times with my kids, my sisters and mom. I had a slice of that incredible Dufflets birthday cake to celebrate my daughter's 10th. OMG ... delish! I kept my commitment to limit myself to one slice. Oh yeah ..... love that I have the self control that evaded me before. I received so many complimented on my figure ... it's a great ego boost but I try not to live in that place though..... but we all need an ego boost once in a while. :)
So here is one thing I have learned from eating off plan..... it is important to plan it well before, during and after. I kept it low carb, high fat and protein the days prior. I ate very late the day of and did a big protein fat meal. I had the cake and kept it to one slice and capped it off with a small fat/ protein MCT oil eat at the end. On the day after I am back to fat coffee early morning and high protein for my meals. I learned this from my previous planned 'off plan' eating. With this I am able to get back to ketosis in a day without feeling a carb withdrawal mess. I am still at 193 lbs this morning so it will be interesting to see if the scale moves upward n the next couple of days. The last time I did this, the approach worked well for me.
