Yesterday we went out for Lebanese food. I love hummus, baba ganouj, falafel, tabouleh and had all of it last night. I was sick almost immediately. Could not finish it (thank G) and felt awful the rest of the night. I think there was MSG in something (tingly tongue) and sometimes I cannot handle garlic (which is a shame because I am French and Sicilian). Feel okay this morning. Learned my lesson-hopefully. Everything in moderation, please! Still have not budged an ounce, so joined the Get off this Plateau Challenge starting tomorrow. I am struggling like so many of my buddies. I thought maybe it was the time of the year-perhaps my metabolism hibernates like a bear? I checked my weight history and I was losing during this same period last year. 4 lbs in 5 months-not a lot but pretty good for me. Have not made the appointment with the Women's Clinic-not sure what is behind my procrastination. Maybe, I am not ready to embrace perimenopause or afraid that I won't get any answers.... I've got to snap out of the negative slant and move toward the light. First step-going to strap my trainers on and go for a run/walk/lunge with the Beast. Can't hurt, right?
