ok today is day 20. Still feeling down. The scale is now saying that I gained weight. WTF is going on? I dont understand. I am starting to have cravings fo bread and hershey bars.I have given up the atkins bars and shakes. But still nothing. I am more frustrated than I have ever been in my life. All I think about all day is my weight and how I cant bring my leg up to my chest to put my socks on and my back and ankles hurt after only being on my feet for 5 minutes. This sucks. I wish I had money for some lypo or something.

It honestly looks to me like you're not eating enough. You're supposed to at least consume your RDI each day unless you're laying in bed all day long. I stalled at 297 lbs because I wasn't eating enough my body went into starvation mode. I had to add more than 1000 calories a day to my diet! I'm not eating as much these days but I've lost almost 80 lbs. TOM can also make you gain as much as 7 lbs the week of it.

and you just recently stopped eating the atkins bars if I remember correctly. Therefore, you need to give it a bit more time. It takes some time for the sugar alcohols that you did consume to leave your body, as well as the affect they have on your body. Maintain a clean induction - eat the right amount of food - even increasing your caloric intake, if you are very heavy. It is very possible you are in starvation mode like Myree said. This is when your body thinks it is starving (because you are consuming way less than it's used to) and your brain will tell your body to hang on to everything it gets. It will begin to store your fat. We're in this to burn fat. Give your body the fuel it needs so you can turn your body into a fat-burning machine. Hang in there. You are worth it.

You have 1 cup of cream cheese for today, is that accurate? If so it's too much. 3 oz max for the cheese.

i think you have to play around with the diet calendar first before you eat. i did that. i go there and plan what i'm going to eat. i first make sure to have enough protein and fat, then i make sure i meet the requirement for vegetables/salad. i change the amounts to reflect what i need to be eating. for example. eating 1 oz of cheese will equal roughly 2 carbs depending on the type of cheese. so instead of eating 2 carbs from the cheese i switch it up and add more salad or more vegetable and less cheese. we can have cream cheese, but remember it still has carbs so you have to measure what you are going to eat. don't guess how much you could have eaten because we'll never get it right. if you don't have them already, buy a set of measuring spoons and cups and if you can a scale. i am trying to weight everything before i cook/eat it so i know more or less how to eyeball the amount in case i'm not at home. it's like training yourself. it looks like you have a sweet tooth. i don't have a sweet tooth, but before TOM I get one. i promise you that if you stick to the diet for at least 7 days straight without fail, you will lose the cravings. Cravings are the pits, I know. I wasn't craving sweets but was dying for bread. rice i can live without, but bread is another story. that is why my first week was so messy. so i promised myself i would stick it out all week and stuff myself if i could with plenty of protein and fats, plus the necessary vegetables. eventually i wasn't able to eat that much but still ate/drank what i could to make up my day's worth of carbs. now i'm at 195, but i feel heavy due to some light constipation. i increased my fiber intake and my vegetable intake a bit and seems like i'm gonna be just fine soon. so don't despair... focus and you will get results. look at the different diet calendars and get ideas on what you could be eating. be careful with processed foods because they do contain ingredients that will mess with your weight loss. think of it this way: eat food that come from the fresh vegetable section, the meat market section, the cheese section and water. everything else is extra. just focus on fresh foods... if it's in a box, bag or can, chances are you are eating more stuff that you really don't need now or ever. stay optimistic too... don't look back so much, look forward. it is how we get thru life anyway. cheers!
