I remember that the holiday is really only one day, so I try to stay on plan the other days. If I have parties to go to, I peruse the foods and then only take foods I really love and don't usually get to have and only go for food once. I get plenty of activity. My main goal is to get through the holidays without a gain and if I lose, then great. The hard part is doing holiday baking in my house. I plan a couple of treats each day if I am home and plan for it. It is a difficult time of year, but you can do it.

Now is not the time to be a couch potato. Stay active. Watch your portions. If you have cookies, candies or snacks that you are having trouble staying away from....put them out of sight, give them away...or...ask yourself if you want to spend your calories on them. Plan for your treats. YOU CAN DO IT.

Agreed! Everyone seems to be getting cookies and home baking and plonking it onto the kitchen worktop in full view for me to walk into a trap. I am firmly stacking them away in the cupboard like i would put away a toy or a book...hope i keep up!
