Weight still hovering at 149-150. Am working very hard to get back on track and start losing. Halloween was different this year. Actually joined some friends w/kids and did the whole trick or treat thing. They live in a very trendy part of Venice, so frequent celebrity sightings. Drank wine but ate only 2 pieces of candy. No candy at home, so think I avoided the annual sugar binge that usually begins now and ends in March.

Off to NYC this weekend to visit my terminally ill friend. It's turned into a bit of a reunion-more peeps going. It's a bit strange-think some in the group may be in denial. My old boss will be there-she fired me, so that will be interesting.

Walking/running every day. It's hard-my body aches BUT I want to keep my metabolism and endorphins up to combat depression. Trying to make (audition) an appointment with a very hard to see doctor to put a lid on my medical situation. It's like the scene from Sex and the City when Samantha has breast cancer and is competing with a nun to get in to see THE Doctor. Confidence is high!

Thinking about going to UK at Christmas-really want to go...have not been "home" for ten years or so. Would like to be in better shape though...

My diet is good-got it down to just over 1K calories. Need to go lower if I want to lose weight-I know, sounds extreme but that's me. It's super hot here-yes summer in November, so appetite is not huge and can eat salad for dinner. Trying to NOT have any trigger carbs-pasta, bread, potatoes, rice. So far, so good. The lump crab meat from Costco is my go to protein source. SU makes a mean crab coctail, just lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, lemon and a dab of cocktail sauce. Really good and very low cal and very satisfying! Also love the shrimp wonton soup from CP Products. I thinks it's less than 200 cals and has real whole shrimp in the wonton and you get 6 of them.
One more thing I love-the roll ups from Demascus Bakery-7 net carbs, tons of fiber and good omega from flax. I use them instead of pita-and good as a guiltless pizza crust.

Gotta go.

Love that you are staying active for those endorphins, you've tried Yoga, haven't you? I was doing a few stretches in the am when I lost weight last week maybe not the hidden secret but def helps the body feel better and ready for the day. Wish I had words for you for your health issue and your soon visit to NYC, I'll be thinking of you though, and Im here so rant away :) Love the discriptions of your food!!

Hi Densible, I hope you are enjoying New York and the company of your good friend. That trip to the UK for Christmas sounds like an excellent idea. Thanks for the Costco tips, I shop there all the time and wii look for those two items the next time around. Be well buddy!
