Diario de fluffy e, 24 sep. 08

Well, I'm pretty much not new to this game.
I started this lifestyle change February 8, 2008. I was at my heaviest weight ever of 340 pounds. I got my wedding pictures back from my photographer and was mortified to see this fat woman next to my husband. Who was she, and where did she come from? Those questions floated around in my head for a while, and I settled on the obvious answer. That was me, and that was me as a result of YEARS of being a compulsive over-eater.

I wanted to change, and I made a commitment to do so. I have as of today dropped 96 pounds. I still have 104 pounds to go. This seems so astronomical to me. I mean, most people want to lose 100 pounds and that seems like it's impossible, but 200 pounds? I need to lose over 50% of the person I was. I have already lost over 25% of her. It feels phenomenal.

My plan is simple really. I try to eat between 1100 and 1400 calories a day. I limit my fat intake to 30 g a day with 10 g of saturated fat. I have cheat days on Sunday, but sometimes when I'm slacking, such as now, I eliminate those cheat days. I exercise as much as I can--taking stairs instead of the elevator, parking a little further from the store, etc. I try to do a routine workout at least 3 times a week though I know I need to try for at least 4.

This has worked well for me. I journal through another site, but found out about this one and figured I'd give it a shot. Anyway, here I am.
