I'm eating more calories and more carbs because during my detox I did that and I lost the weight I was stalling over. I think getting more fiber is really important, and we should get around 20g plus a day so I've been working on that. I also want to recommend that to other atkins dieters. After six months without even looking at the fiber component, I had a really messed up toxic tummy. We need that fiber to flush out the gunk and to rid the body of the stuff that is stored in the folds of the intestine. (I've been looking into this). I'm not into the hollywood junk of colonics or any of that, believing that if yu get the fruits and veggies and other fiber, you just don't need to use those methods. Years and years ago I did that at the recommendation of a friend and it was horrible. No need. Just do a detox once in a while with one of the regimes you can get at any health food store or natural foods store. I recommend Revital-X and it worked for me very well. So now I have to keep up the fiber. Otherwise, all those toxins being flushed out of our fat that is burning up will be hard on our bodies. It was for me anyway. I all of a sudden was having sick tummy, gas and bloating. So now I'm better. I think we can absorb more nutrients too with a clean bowel system. Sorry if this seems yucky, but it is our body and we need to love it and take care of it, right? Best wishes to all.
