La vita e bella. Not a whole lot really to say, everything is much the same- excitedly awaiting happy changes, occasionally getting stressed about minutiae and then remembering to calm down and take things as they come. Eliana got to meet her baby cousin this weekend. (Technically she and Echo are second cousins and Echo and my DH and I are her first cousins once removed, or something like that.) Some of DH's family was in town to celebrate Eliana's birthday since they are going to be away for her actual birthday and party, so the weekend was really nice. It was soooo sweet seeing Eliana hold her cousin. She was absolutely radiant and it was a comical sight because my daughter is only about 40lbs. (As growth charts go, she is about the 50th percentile now for her sex and age, but she was born 6lb 9oz- which is a healthy, petite baby, but she didn't even get ONTO the growth charts until she was about 1. Her cousin is 3 months old and weighs almost 14lbs- also a healthy size, but a much bigger baby. So while Eliana is 20 times older than her cousin, her cousin is about 1/3 to 1/2 her size. :P) I think Eliana is going to be a FANTASTIC big sister and I am excited to see her meet her little brother or sister. (I like that Eliana's asked me if she can help change the baby's diaper after the baby's born. I told her ABSOLUTELY. Momma would LOVE the extra help. Whether or not she still will want to do that when the time comes remains to be seen :P, but I find it really endearing how tender and loving Eliana can be.)
