I've had an upset G.I. system for a week and I realized it is time for my detox which I do approximately every 6 months. I did my last back in early March before I began to lose weight. With my celiac disease this regime helps me, as even though I don't eat any gluten in my everyday diet and am super careful, the environment is filled with products and cross contamination always seems to occur. I always feel super after the detox, with a rested colon and lots of energy, not to mention the symptoms of gastric upset being all gone. Luckily this regime doesn't have too many carbs to it, especially if you are counting the net carbs. It goes for a week and only allows one meal of veggies and chicken a day. I hope it doesn't interfere with weight loss, but it should actually help it as it includes nothing extra, no fats and its not a protein rich diet. However, for support of the liver and colon, it seems to be super. I'm looking forward to getting rid of this pain I have. It covers not only my tummy but my entire nervous system, causing the fibromyalgia to flare and everything. So I am happy to have remembered it is time for this healing week. *happy face*
