Good morning all!! I just wrote my schedule for the day, like I do every morning. That's right, I schedule every hour of every day. I guess I'm a little OCD when it comes to that. I need to know exactly what I'm trying to accomplish throughout the day, what my meals are going to be, ect. It doesn't always go as planned, but I'm pretty much a wreck without a schedule. So, looking through my agenda and menu (the kid's menu and my own), I was able to pinpoint what parts of the day are going to be difficult for me. I'm cooking baked chicken, mac n cheese, and steamed veggies for the kids. I'm having baked chicken breast, brown rice, and steamed veggies. I know very well that when I'm done cooking the mac n cheese, I'm going to have to "taste" it. I always talk myself into believing that I'm just making sure it's seasoned properly. I start with a generous spoonful, which leads to a cup, and before you know it, I've had a full serving of mac n cheese. Who am I kidding? There is no need to check my kid's food. If they don't like the flavor, they can season it themselves...

Today's personal challenge #1... DON'T TASTE THE MAC N CHEESE!!!

When I was grocery shopping on Monday, I had sugar free popsicles on my list because I always want something sweet at the end of the day. Well, before I got to the popsicles, I saw low fat chocolate caramel brownie frozen yogurt. Of course I convinced myself that it must be okay because the words Low Fat were written on the front of the box. So, I opted for the frozen yogurt rather than the popsicles. So, yes I've done pretty well this week, but I have to admit, I have over indulged in the frozen yogurt, and I have under reported the sizes of my servings. It's time to stop fooling myself. I know better...

Today's personal challenge #2... HAVE 1 SERVING (half a cup) OF FROZEN YOGURT TONIGHT, AND NO MORE!!

So, I'm looking forward to a successful day :)

I tend to fudge a bit on my servings as well. We are only lying to ourselves when doing it. :) I like your first challenge! Made me laugh. Good luck!

I think you're awesome for fessing up to the "unreportings" on your food diary.. I think we all may tend to do that at times.. Well I know I have.. Your confession to yourself and you realizing what you've done is GROWTH!! Good luck - and hang in there!!
