When to see my doctor two weeks ago blood pressure has dropped tremendously I used to see numbers 135-145/85-95, but currently seeing numbers like 104/75 Dr. hopes when next visit occurs he will remove me from all blood pressure medicines. I also saw equally great numbers in my insulin use I had gone up to 46 units once a day I am now down to only 14 and I am told if I can reach nine units a day that I can stop taking insulin. Again the hope is I will be able to do this on my own but at the time of the next appointment if I haven't reached nine units he was still remove the insulin and increase the dosage of the metformin. I have gone from 338 pounds to reading this morning of 231 pounds I still am doing phase 1 maybe another 10 to 15 pounds before I start phase 2 (OWL). Even though I am sick and tired of eating salads I am more motivated by standing on my bathroom scale and seeing the numbers get smaller. For me the key to this change in eating patterns has been not to be hungry pork rinds, olives, pickles the occasional boiled eggs while things that continuously get me through the hunger pangs hopefully this will help someone else
