My body seems determined to hold onto the weight. Feeling a little discouraged this morning.

I can definitely relate. Every fall/winter I let myself go and then try to regain some ground for the summertime. You're on the paleo diet? What's that like?

I'm actually more primal than paleo (primal allows dairy, paleo doesn't). Basically I don't eat grains, legumes, sugars or industrial seed oils. I try to eat organic produce, grass-fed meat and healthy fats. Most primal folks do some root vegetables but currently I'm off them because I'm trying to lose weight. Check out marksdailyapple.com for more info on the Primal Blueprint (a particular type of primal with a huge following).

Rowan, I can so related to the frustration of not seeing those numbers move but it's so worth the effort if you can just stay the coarse and beat the scales. Hang in there, the better numbers are not far away, it's just your body trying to catch up to the new you!
