My scale is annoying me A LOT. The first time I step on it, it will always same the say number, for about a week. (Last week, 318. This week, 310.) Then, if I step on it again, it will show me a number similar to the second number I saw the previous day -- maybe 0.5 to 1 more or less. I think this number is the more reliable number, especially since the first number seemed to be set or saved somehow.

This was a nice scale too... well, $50 is a lot to spend on a bathroom scale, in my opinion.

I've read that you should take one certain reading and stick with it for consistency's sake, so I've been taking the 2nd reading always. But it still bothers me to see that first number there.

I always do a set of 3. With digital scales it can be funny how they work. I wish I bought the numbered scale instead but oh well. I paid as much as you did for mine and half the time I want to throw it in the trash.

I would settle for one that doesn't seem to be stuck! It's an improvement on my last one, for sure. My husband weighed in on it the other day (@ 285) so it told me I weighed 300 first thing, which would've been a 15 lb. loss. I've heard of the whoosh fairy, but THAT'S ridiculous!! Here's how mine goes: 1st weight: Whatever number it's been stuck on all week, give or take something like .1 or .3. 2nd weight: A number closer to what the previous day's 2nd weight was. Good or bad, I'm honest with myself: I know when my intake/carbs weren't ideal or when I'm bloated. 3rd weight: The number from the 2nd weight AGAIN, except for the odd time when it's less. In that case, I always keep the 2nd weight. I refuse to get on there more than 3 times. I'm obsessive enough as it is!

Sorry your scale isn't working so well (and I still haven't gotten to one that can weigh me as big as i am :))
