Giving up soda and ice cream can help tremendously! Every change makes a difference. Start with small changes and work your way up. Slow and easy wins the race, do what works for you and don’t give up. Fat secret helps us all keep track and stay on track so keep using it as a tool and it will help.

The results will come. Looking at what you're eating, maybe try adding some protein to your meals. Just my suggestion

Don't get discouraged. We're all here to help with advice. Your progress so far is pretty impressive. What works for me: logging every day, weighing and measuring all my food. You'd be surprised how it all adds up and we might think our calories are at a certain number when they are not. Keep moving. Even its just leaving an item in a different room on purpose and going back to retrieve it, especially if its on a different floor of the house. Park further away in a parking lot, wear a pedometer and give yourself daily goals. Resistance training is a great fat loss tool for me. Plenty of sleep, plenty of water. @tatauu ~ I agree! try adding some more protein to your meals. By logging your food and your activities, you can keep track of your deficits and increase/decrease accordingly. Wishing you ALL the best!

Hi, Paige - I fast 16 hours a day with no snacks and started by eating "low-carb/high-fat/moderate-protein" diet. This allows me to get ahead of the game. I've found that planning ahead eliminates guess work and that not snacking helps me stay "in line." I suggest planning your meals at least a day ahead and make sure you have everything you need to stick to your plan. eventually, you can plan several days at a time to limit trips to the store -- aka "Temptation Island"! If you have questions, ask away! Best wishes and good luck!

It's not unusual to drop a lot of fluid early in your diet when you have a lot to lose. Then, things slow down to what is *really* normal speed. As long as you have a plan and stick to it, you'll reach your ultimate goal. But start with an "interim goal," like "Goal: lose 10 pounds." HEY! you've already met that goal! CHECK! Goal: lose 10 pounds." And don't set a "deadline date." Weight loss can be unpredictable, and setting a date just sets you up for failure and feeling punished. Stay positive!

I feel you there but...in just a little under a year I went from about where you started to 240...I was complaining the whole time...believe me, it went way too slow but what you're doing is working.

Don’t give up. I recently lost 30 pounds which took me 6 months to do. I then hit a plateau and have been on it 6 months more. I tried to at least maintain my loss. I didn’t give up and now with the help of my dr and FS I am getting back on track on pound one day at a time. We’re rooting for you.

Congrats! No matter what happens with the scale, you are becoming much much healthier by making those changes. Focus on health, not the scale.
