What do you do, when your husband comes home with 2lbs of ice cream. Of course! I cringed. He is always piggish for the crap food. I keep telling him I am on a diet. Stop bringing this stuff home. At least a smaller container would be better. He said, “I’ll eat
It”. The man is a diabetic 2, and he never monitors himself, or pays attention to his food intake. I try to cook healthy for both of us. It’s hard living with someone who doesn’t want to help himself. Very frustrating!

You could throw it away.

Toss it. Tell him you ate it all. Repeat. He'll either stop or go broke. Problem solved.

You can only control yourself. Sabotage is cruel. Just make sure he has a decent life insurance policy.

I too live with a hubby who is my soulmate and my best friend. I eat a low carb/fat, high protien diet. I try to go as non processed as I can. He, on the other hand, eats twinkies, tastee cakes, ice cream, cheese everything, etc I will say that he never critisizes me for my choices but will not jump on board. I just ignore his choices and focus on my own health. He will eat my protien choices so that helps. I just focus on all the positives about him and change what I can change. I know its hard to resist all temptations but be strong. You will feel and look better in the end!💜

All great answers from everyone, pick one. Maybe leave the room when he indulges and if he finds himself getting lonely, he may have a change of heart. Bottom line, we all have to be self responsible for ourselves. Our lives will always be filled with temptations and an excuses. If you can conquer a husband, you can conquer the world! Best wishes for your great success!

Im with you there! My husband and I both have diabetes in our family, but his is more immediate family. He also has gout in his immediate family. I try to keep good food at home but he seems to be addicted to fast food and restaurant food. No matter how much I try to advise or educate him... he doesnt take it seriously! It would be really great of we could be on this journey together.

I sympathize with you trying to resist temptation only as far away as the kitchen. Thankfully my biggest temptations are different than my husband's, so if I don't buy them, they're not in the house. Keep cooking healthy meals for the 2 of you and gently reminding him you're trying to lose weight and need his support. I know it's frustrating & stressful he's jeopardizing his own health by eating the wrong foods. Maybe you could find some healthier treats he would enjoy.

Boy this sounds familiar and I have no constructive advice—only sympathy—to offer. ❤️

SherryeB, my spouse buys the stuff I like that she doesn’t. 😐

Log it, move on. We’re only human. Tell your hubby how much you love him and want him to be around❤️💕 Together pick one night out of the week for an ice cream date. Out of the house. Hold hands, talk while enjoying ice cream 🍦

My heart goes out. Lost my husband a year ago. He had liver disease and was diabetic- constant struggle at times to keep his food restrictions in check. Need to point out what will happen when he doesn’t follow his diet regiment - otherwise do what you can, when you can.

I truely am convinced the only way to lose weight in America is to throw food away. Be nice. Tell him your throwing it out and will continue to do so. He can get his fix elsewhere. Boundries are boundries. He must respect them.
