1. Eat the right foods.
2. Eat the right amount of those foods.
3. Prepare for the keto flu.

Keto diet works like any other diet through calorie deficit. You lose the same amount of weight and maybe a little more from water loss. I do keto because certain grains gives me bloating and diarrhea. I love the foods I get to eat, and it doesn’t give me gastrointestinal issues.

I also am mindful of calories, so if I want a non-keto compliant treat I keep in mind the amount I’m eating and track the calories on FS. My weight will fluctuate a few lbs from the water retention but as long as I keep my calories in check I know my weight will go down.

I support any healthy diet. If keto causes you to binge from cravings it’s not a healthy diet for you. Keep trying different ones, they all work but you need to do your hw to find one that works for you. *hint* the less restrictive your diet is, the more likely you will stick with it. #kcko

This is a chaffle. 1 egg + 1/2 cup of cheese makes 2 small waffles or 1 normal sized ones. I might add a little more cheese to give it more texture.

So you made that chaffle finally? I saw a recipe that added almond flour; I wonder if that would help the texture. I keep telling myself I'm going to try this. Maybe tonight.

I really thought long and hard over this weekend if the carbs I got in toast and a biscuit really led to my feeling more hungry than normal .. was it truly physical or mental. On Tuesday I woke to hunger - something I haven't done in a long while. But after resuming LCHF I'm back to managing my hunger again.

So - is it real or placebo? I still don't know. Just an observation.

I have the same effect, I feel less hungry when I eat more protein and fewer carbs. Balancing what I love (donuts) and what is good for calorie deficit (proteins and veggies) helps me to my goal. Even if it’s a placebo if it works it works.
