well today is going to be a better day yesturday wasnt so hot on the food any way for my snax i had a regular soda arggg i need to be a little more stronger then i am on the soda i need to cut 1-2 cans out more im doing better but i can do alot better on cutting sugar out any way We all can DO THIS love shelly.

I still think you'd get used to diet sodas fairly easy. They are a lot better these days than back when I started drinking them, when I was 12!! Yuk, they weren't that good back then, lol. Anyway... keep pushing yourself Shell... you'll get there girl!!!! =)

I guess if you can't totally ban soda from your life then drinking diet soda is a tolerable alternative. But I think soda -- even diet soda -- is not healthful.

I also am trying to cut out soda right now, although my love is for diet soda. I'm gonna try drinking unsweetened iced tea, and lots of water.

I think that diet soda is yucky! Besides the artificial sweetener scares me. I found that quitting soda was hard, but once I did it, having a soda for a treat was almost too sweet. If that's possible. LOL. But a trick that worked for me was buying flavored seltzer water. Just the flavored kind. Not the flavored and sweetened kind. I really enjoyed the wild cherry and orange. I got the fizz, but not the fat from sugar. After a while I actually felt like I was drinking soda. Not only did I get away from the sugar, but the caffene too. That was hard. It's totally possible to quit drinking soda/pop. I went from 3L/day of regular coke to none in about a week. Yes, it was a grumpy week. Yes, I hated the taste of water. But now, I consider it the best thing I've ever done for myself. Better than quitting smoking even. My personality is totally back to normal (I was pretty psycho), I'm sleeping, the cravings for other sweet or carb-rich foods are pretty much gone, and my dentist thinks I'm a rock star. You should do it. Diet pop is no better - it just makes you hungry. Water is so much better for you and if you give it a chance you'll really get used to it. Your body will thank you :) Good luck! You're doing AWESOME. Keep it up and you'll feel SO much better!
