Diario de Densible, 29 abr. 08

Today I was the only team member to post on our board. Sad.

I spent all day sitting in a chair in a conference room. Way is that so exhausting? Good thing I walked this morning and have the trainer tomorrow.

My stress level is super high and I need to exercise to mitigate its effects. Been doing lots of diaphramatic breathing and visualization. It helps when I can focus.

Sitting in a conference or board room is not the best way to spend a day. You were there ALL day!! I agree that exercise really helps with mood too. It also keeps me from wanting to snack in the evenings when I get on the floor to do some exercises. Look at you! I see you lost 2.4 pounds this month! I think thats pretty good. MORE than half a pound each week! for someone hypothyroid that is always my goal. I think back to days when I didn't lose anything ..,or gained. You're doing really great and your chart shows it. Nice steady weight loss That is sad about your team but did I see that there are only three of you left on the team! I know Ohitsahsley has classes and homework but bless her for taking this extra duty on herself when she is so busy. That might explain her not checking in daily. I have no clue who the third member of your team is. This is when you need to really keep in touch with each other, with messages and encouragement.

Thanks! I was so surprised to lose weight! I think the lower cals (less than 1000/day), lower carbs and more exercise were the ticket. I am eating more lately-hello stress! BUT I am keeping up the exercise. No weight loss for a few weeks. As long as I do not gain, I can hang in there. I am so glad you are feeling better. I know how hard it is to keep the faith for the long haul. We have an extremely LONG journey. Ranchwoman has been posting frequently. Perhaps she is the 3rd member. 3 left is a very poor show indeed! I hope you get the stress thing figured out. May I suggest a book for that. It is called "The Cortisol Connection" and it gives you practical ways to help your body not get the physical effects (poorer health and weight gain) from high stress. I liked it. Good luck!

eating more because of stress, boy is that something I can identify with! but at least you are not gaining, so you are still in control. I think the challenge was really good at getting people started with exercise and helping it become a habit. Thats what got me started. Your chart is moving downward, steady and sure... thats pretty good for someone hypothyroid and I bet your doctor will be happy with your weight loss next time you see her/him.
