And just like that, I now eat cabbage, just like asparagus and squash, who woulda thunk? I am so trying brusselsprouts next!

In case you want it, the recipe is on Pinterest and called smoked sausage and cabbage casserole.

I always thought cabbage stunk when it was cooking (I remember hiding from that smell as a kid) but this didn’t stink. Is it just certain kinds that smell! I don’t want to ever get that kind, so I’ll stick with this, green cabbage.

Napa seems to have little odor. The other cabbage which is common is>!>@>>#>>!> forgot the name. Sometimes it can get smelly but depends if it is worth corned beef or being sauted with other vegetables.

I made roasted chicken and veggies recently and added brussel sprouts. I had never had them before, and loved them. Made parmesean brussle sprouts the other night. I never knew how good they were! I am eating so many more veggies now, new things I had never thought about trying. I love it!

I got my DNA health report, and I found out there is a gene for taste. I think it was bitter. I never liked Brussels sprouts as a kid. and the report said people with this gene like them as an adult because they don't taste as much bitterness as we age. hmmm not sure if it's true but it was interesting.

Hmm, very interesting about the gene. Maybe there’s one that causes rejection based on sight that doesn’t let it get to mouth!

So wow I've NEVER seen Brussels sprouts still in the stalk. I've led such a sheltered life.

I love Brussels so much that I've already started seeds to grow them!

Local farmers keep them on stalk for 'presentation'. After the first light frost we get after them before they turn to green dust. Emalee you are killing me.

Ty Bella, I’m glad I’m not alone. I felt stupid about it since I didn’t even know that’s how they grew!
