And I love your haircut, EmaleeG! Are you in Seneca Falls for any particular event? (Seneca Falls, NY, was the July 1848 site of the "Seneca Falls Convention," the first women's rights convention in the United States. It's home to the Women's Rights National Historical Park, National Women's Hall of Fame, the Elizabeth Cady Stanton House (she was one of the first "suffragettes," now called a "suffragists"), the "Wonderful Life" Museum, and the "It's A Wonderful Life" Bridge. Frank Capra's 1946 Christmas movie, set in the charming little burg of "Bedford Falls," was filmed on location in Seneca Falls, NY. ("It's a Wonderful Life" is my second "favoritest" movie of all time. It won the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Technical Achievement Award in 1946, the year it was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Film Editing -- Oscars that all went to William Wyler's "The Best Years of Our Lives," my first "favoritest" movie of all times! -- and the Oscar for Best Sound Recording, which it lost to "The Jolson Story.")

Ty so much! I don’t recall ever being called gorgeous and it feels really nice! Miraculum, you’re a wealth of info! I forgot It’s a wonderful life (I love that movie) was filmed there and never saw your first fav, so I’ll have to check it out. Seneca Falls is such a lovely place and the people are so down to earth and just plain nice, the perfect place for a quick getaway that’s not too far from home and close to the casino we visited. We let daughter have home to herself with friends and be responsible for animals for first time. She did good; everyone survived 😊

@EmaleeG, I'm from Buffalo and my husband's from Oswego. We're attending his last unmarried nephew's wedding in Oswego in April and so will make the "Thruway Tour" to visit friends and family while we're up there. When I asked him about Seneca Falls, he said that it's "on the way," just two hours from Buffalo and a short drive to Oswego. We're going to visit for a few hours. I guess it's easy to swing by the bridge and the Victorian house that was the "Bailey home."

Well, then, hello neighbor! I’m from just east of Rochester and live south of it, near Conesus Lake.
