Believe it or not, I am excited to get back to my "normal" food plan!

For the Thanksgiving Holiday, I had my favorites - within reason - and remember why I do not eat that way every day! I wasn't uncomfortable because I kept portions in control; but pwhewwww - calories and fat galore quickly added up!

And, I can feel and see it on the Idiot Box, too.

I do not like it at all!

My next weigh-in for my current challenge is December 3rd - and I plan to again weigh at 177 pounds by then - which will keep me on track with my weight loss goal for the month.

Still grateful for:

- The people I love who love me back!
- The good health of my loved ones
- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today

I am ready to get back into a "normal" food plan, too. I really went off track when I have been suffering from bipolar symptoms the past 3 weeks. Nothing crazy, just like 2000 calories a day, some 1500 days. I have been exercising really well, so I didn't gain any weight, but I am ready to lose again. I have to weigh at the doctor on Wednesday, and I am ready for some disdain from her that I haven't lost any weight, though she did say that she didn't expect me to, just maintain this go around. I can't believe it's already snowing in Minnesota. Kansas is still in "Indian Summer" and it's been so nice.

Wife and I talked about something similar yesterday. We often talk about how much we miss a certain dish, or how we are looking forward to the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. But once we're there, we enjoy the food but not in the same way as we used to. We no longer have the taste for those foods, and they're really not as much comfort to us as we expected them to be. I'm sure you feel the same, right?

Can so totally relate & also thrilled to be back to my "new normal" eating plan. And, have all the potentially tempting leftovers out of the house, finally, so no more excuses! Never thought I'd say it, but TGIM!

I feel you on getting back to a normal food plan. I like my day to day eating, for the most part. I'm glad you enjoyed a little of your favorites over the holiday!

I learned my lesson. I took 2 days for the holiday and it turned into a week and a half! Glad to be back and refocused on my health!

Indulgent parties and celebrations never seem to be so magnificent as to make up for the fallout on the idiot box. And somehow we keep forgetting that! I'm slowly trying to tune my party plan to be more in line with my normal healthy plan so I can avoid the big disappointments afterward. I know it will be a process of many trials and errors - years of conditioning to revere calorie laden foods as some sort of luxurious reward are hard to reprogram but I'm convinced it can be done. Just like I used to hate exercise, I'm sure I can change my habits when it comes to indulgences. Anyway, great job getting back on track. You'll have that idiot box back in line very soon :)

I hear ya. I went to town on all those thanksgiving eats from thursday through saturday knowing full well I'd have to work my ass off this week. It's ok, it was soooo worth it ;D Now back to 100%! No more slacking, junior! Let's do this!!
