Successes:
1) Realized emotional eating done today and learned from the experience.
2) Have gotten 45 min of morning exercise each weekday this week so far. The goal is to get up to 1 hour every morning.

Gratitude:
1) For my husband's successes today that has uplifted his spirits so I can look forward to a pleasant evening.
2) For keeping myself in check during a tiff this morning.
3) For discovering EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) which has reduced my sweet cravings and eased my stress levels when needed.

Is EFT that acupuncture tapping technique used on Paul McKenna's I Can Make you Thin? You are doing great. I know where you are coming from, I used to really binge on chocolate after a big fight, and I sometimes still struggle with the urge for sweets when stressed, but it's a process getting out of that habit! Small successes add up to big results! Keep it up!

You got it Lotus...EFT is something that Paul McKenna practices but I think he calls it TFT which is basically the same thing. The idea is to tap at certain meridian points while stating affirmations to release emotions that may drive you to overeat. It's also been used to deal with depression, pain, addiction, or unwanted behaviors. Honestly, I feel ridiculous doing it but as I've been practicing EFT daily for about a week, I do feel a shift in moving closer to my weight loss goals. There's a free manual you can download that will teach you the basic method at emofree.com. I think you can get enough benefit from the basic method but others might feel they need more from the dvds or a certified EFT practicioner. I have a friend that goes to an EFT practitioner regularly to deal with some deep-seated fears and she swears by the technique. Sometimes, I don't know if it's just the distraction of the method that relieves the craving or emotion or that the meridian points actually did release the emotion. Either way, taking a few minutes to do the tapping is worth it if it helps. I tried researching the internet to see if this whole thing was just a hoax but can't find anyone disapproving it.
