Thoughts on Yesterday:
Morning, everyone! Hope everyone got through Hump Day okay! Timshel left a comment on my journal entry yesterday (hi, timshel!) but I don't know if she saw my reply. Here was her comment:

Trust me...I've walked up to the vending machines with money at hand looking for some tasty treat. Then I think about all the work I've done so far and how much I have to go. I end up walking away and eating more pistachios. I usually eat my breakfasts and AM snack pretty close together and feel pretty full. Lunch is probably my biggest meal of the day. It will keep me full up to about 5. Then if I'm hungry, I'll just have my PM snack while I'm preparing dinner. Or sometimes, I think I'm hungry but I'm just thirsty and will drink a bunch of water...Believe me, I've had my battles with the munchies!! :)

I don't know if it seems like I'm not eating enough. I feel like I do because I'm not hungry at all. When I am hungry, I snack on celery (yuck). I usually don't put the celery in my logs because, well, I guess I don't think its important enough.

Anyway, yesterday's dinnner was really good. We grilled the marinated steak, had some roasted veggies and lentils. DH said he didn't think he was going to like the lentils but said it may have been his favorite part of the meal. He said it tasted like chili. Its suppose to be gym night tonight but DD school is having a Curriculum Night. I'm debating if we should go or not...I really want to so we can become better acquainted with her teacher and other parents. The thing is, her school is about 30 minutes away from home- she goes to school close to my work. I think we're just going to have to suck it up and make the commute because it is important that we attend.

Breakfast:
Hard Boiled Egg

AM Snack:
String Cheese

Lunch:
Leftover grilled steak, veggies and lentils

PM Snack:
Pistachio

Dinner:
Probably eating out tonight...

Cravings are the worst! And that was great advice. I drink alot of water to help me feel full. And I make myself stop and think, am I hungry or am I bored or upset about something (two things that will send me searching for the peanut butter M&Ms...those things are EVIL). I think the hardest part isn't really the diet itself, it's changing our mindset and realizing we are worth the effort it takes to loose the weight and get healthy.

Hehe, I'm in your entry!!!! I guess it's more that I'm really bored as a stay at home mom, so I just munch to fill the boredom. If I'm busy running around, I forget to eat until dinner. Bad, but I just don't get hungry if I'm occupied. Eeek! I go back to work soon! I think I'll just not carry cash on me so I can't get bad vending machine food! You're doing so well! Keep up the good work!!!
