Diario de misschynagyrl, 04 jun. 10

Day 4 of Atkins and I've lost 4 lbs so far, who knew it could be this easy! Aside from the sugar cravings I'm doing great.

Bought the Atkins cafe caramel shakes last night since I've been cutting out coffee and I am in LUVVVVV.. Also made some sugar free raspberry jello mixed with 2 pkgs of cream cheese and I'm so excited to try that today.

Going out tonight for apps and drinks so I'm not sure how I am going to do with that. Probably won't drink but will need to find something to eat, hopefully I can find some decent wings or something. :)

Most wings are covered in sugar sadly. Maybe some chicken strips and take off as much of the breading as you can. You could order water and bring along some crystal light. Good Luck!

Ahh thanks Amanda!! I'll have to try that, I appreciate your input, I havent tried to wing it in social settings yet so I'll be tested tonight. Need all the help I can get! Any other snacks in a bar setting that would be safe?

In my experience I found the sugar free jello and puddings were a killer for me. I stalled in my weight loss and I was doing a sugar free mousse (with homemade whipping cream). Once I cut out the so called sugar free stuff I continued to lose weight and my cravings went away. YMMV, but be careful with that stuff. Try to reduce the intake for a few days while upping the fat/protein and I'd be surprised if the cravings didn't go away. Good luck!

The SF jello has no carbs, but the pudding and mousse do, so you really have to be careful with them. If you stalled it was most likely those 2 items. As for the going out, order something that is Atkins friendly, even if you have to special order it. Get a burger with no bun, mustard and pickle only. Order some veggies. Get some chicken that is baked. Most restaurants will accomodate you if you ask them and explain that you are not able to eat those things. It has been my experience that if I leave a little extra on the tip, they will remember me and next time will be even more accomodating. Hope this helps.
