Thanks Timshel and UmZ for your compliments on my photo. I sooooooooo appreciate the comments. You know, no one in my family has a picture of me. Growing up and even now, I just never thought that I could take a decent picture. My daughter is 12 years old and we've never had our picture taken together. She has always asked me to do this with her and I have refused time and time again. I am so very camera shy and I don't know where I got this shyness from! My sister and brother asked me a few years ago to do a portrait of just us for our mother's 50th birthday and I wouldn't do it. I didn't take pictures in school and I didn't even take my graduation pictures. I guess this is something that I am slowly but surely going to get out of....I think....I hope!
Anyway guys, I played tennis lastnight. We went out there really late, I think it was 10:30pm and I'm going to tell you, we had so much fun. We had the entire tennis court to ourselves. I think I am going to walk tonight.
I agree with everyone on the Atkins Diet being the diet that you will get the fastest results on. After I lose all this weight I have decided to go on Weight Watchers to maintain my weight. I hate to say it but Weight Watchers is a diet for maintaining weight not for losing any. I also love the fact that with Weight Watchers it's not hard to eat out and be able to have a full course meal in moderation.
I just want to say to everyone that this is a wonderful site. I truly feel that we are a strong group of people and we are serious about losing our unwanted weight. I really can't see any of us failing. So Good Luck to everyone and stay focused on your goals. Until next time.... Mandie

i was just lurking around.. this post made me want to read about Atkins.. its one of the few diets i haven't tried:) good luck to you:)

I have thought the same thing about Atkins and WW. I have been thinking about using Atkins to lose then WW to maintain. Also wanted to tell you that I live in Mebane, NC. I am in your neck of the woods lady. Oh, and you picture looks great.
