Day 7 Rotation Diet: After TOM and gaining 3-4 pounds of water from leaving ketosis, I am finally back to about 128.

Im taking a mini-break from Atkins for a change. The 600 cal days were the hardest, but I got through them knowing it lasts 3 days. I suspect I ate 700 calories each day, but thats okay..

Tomorrow, I start 1200 cal/week 2. I dont expect any huge loss..maybe 1-2 pounds that week. The following week, I can expect maybe 3 more pounds...time will tell, and Ill be reporting back!

I almost feel like Im doing the Wendie Plan..spin-off Weight Watchers and carb cycling....except my "points range" is probably 12-30..depending on the day.

I remember that diet. It is a little like the Wendy plan, but with much lower calorie intake on certain days. Good luck to you!

Its very simple. I am not following the author's meal plan suggestions, but I am following his caloric intake requirements. You can view those when you click on "My Rotation Diet." When viewing the diet plan, you will note that I linked the Amazon book review site so you can see others' opinions of the diet. Im currently on Week 2 which is 1200 cal for 7 days. I have kept off most of the weight I lost from ketosis. Its just a "fun" diet..a break from my low-carb journey. The important thing is when breaking from low-carb, keep the calories controlled, or risk of gaining weight is great. I exercise on my stationary bike 20 min/day in part b/c Im too lazy to make it 40 min/day. That being said, Im going to try to do 30 min daily this week, d/t the increased calories.

My mom has the Rotation Diet book. I've done it a few times. I think it is still a controlled carb plan. Years ago I worked out the calories of the meal plan with the allowed fruit and I came up with more calories than they said there was. My mom had a lot of success with it, but always gained the weight back. I think it's probably good for a break, though. It sounds like torture to me. ;)
