Diario de patriciamarengo, 10 ago. 18

Still nothing... I suppose i should wait 1 week before looking at my diet and decide whether to change it or not. But still,the fact that still by eating healthy (except for the three pizza slices), and excercicing every day, which is a strong change from what i was doing before, i haven't lost a single kilo, is frustrating. My thyroid is fine, (according to my endocrynologyst), and i don't seem to have anything else thats wrong with me. So why no change yet? Why not even water change? I should at least have lost 1 kilo regarding liquid right?

So strange...

because the lipid cells are full of triglycerides and when you used them, the cell dosnt stay empty, is filled with water for a time and you have to wait more time to see results 1 week is not enough

Acoording to the calorie calculator here im apparently eating below what im supposed to. I really thought i was eating more, like 1500 calories. Yet apparently its less. I dont know, i mean, as a teenager i used to eat twice this much, which is healthy according to the standard parameters, and ive always loved fruits and veggies, yet i was always overweight eventhough i was always top class at sports. So i figured that my body simply wouldnt change. Whne i lost the weight due to anorexia, ever since then my food intake took quite a toll. I fear that if i eat normally like i did before, i would go back to weighting 75 kilos. I was healthy, ate healthy and excercised every day when i was younger and i was still overweight. (And i was already being treated for Hypothyroidism. :/

sofi_soi Yeah, im not in a hurry honestly, and i'm not particularly unhappy with my weight, but i want to lose kilos mainly cause there are a lot of things that i did before, (breakdancing, ice skating), that i cant do now because im a lot heavier than when i practiced those sports.

Pq habla en inglés? If you need the US version to talk with english speakers, just change the lenguage to ENGLISH.

Maybe she just wants to express herself in English, but I think she's not a native English speaker... I'm not sure though And if there's people who are able to understand and answer... better for everyone ahahah

I think that you have to change the kind of excersice. maybe reduce the cardio and do more of weight, you will not become a muscle man, that is not how it works. you will become fit because you will have less fat and a bit more of muscle, so you will look firm

Tobiblu Perhaps youre right, though i thought according to the last doc ive been to that i needed only to do cardio for weightloss. 🤔

well, that doc is an asshole. If you just do cardio and hipo caloric diet, you will lost a lot of muscle, so you're gonna have flacid skin, low methabolism. and that's risky for your health. Just do some weight lift, You don't have to pay for a gym, just do squats, pull ups, etc. This is my recomendation: do workout 5 days a week. the goal is to excercize low enough to be able to do it the next day, but hard enough to lost weight. Do 3 or 4 series of 15 squats, 3 or 4 series of 5 to 10 pull ups everyday. you can do cardio but cardio will not make you lost weight. maybe 10 to 25 minutes a day. and DONT eat less. eat the normal amount for you. that will fuck up your methabolism and soner or later you will end up with more fat. just eat healthy, lot of veggies, meat, fruits, and you can eat some cookies, chocolate, etc. just don't drink alcohol, soda, or any other liquid that is not milk, water, coffee or tea.

Thanks for the tips guys, really. I will try to do some weight training but im a bit afraid of that. Im a former anorexic and not yet fully recovered bullimic after all, so anything related to gaining muscle is hard. I gained a lot of weight during my recovery (which triggered my bulimia again), so i tipped the scales on the other side now. I will do my best to eat more and do some weight training. Thanks!

Patriciamarengo Did you do a HbA1c test? Like thyroid, this is another factor to consider.

your protein is pretty low most days, it is hard to build muscle if you don't have enough protein. some people do best with a lower carb level too. everyone is different there. invest in a food scale and weigh everything you eat. it helps

and why do you think you should have a water loss on a high carb diet?? Just asking as I don't know why you would expect that. Drinking lots of water is great
