as soon as I get a break from carnivore, I'm MAKING THEM! only 2 main ingredients. found a good YouTube video how to make. they are a ripoff in the store. Maybe in November , it's been years since I've had them. Alfredo sauce is great on them too

So I tried them and LOVE THEM! Lots of great and easy recipes online; I went with a simple butter and Parmesan just to check them out.

What are Shirataki noodles?

Well, Mel, they’re derived from a plant, but they smell like fish, which rinses away, so no worries, and I’m thinking they’re the reason Japan’s population is slender mostly!

The noodles are made from the konjac yam.

And food grade lime, it thickens the konjac powder in water, then you load into a pasta press and squeeze into boiling water. I wonder if fresh smell.

I use them all the time. They're about the only replacement food I use while losing weight. Once I reach goal, I'll put the real rice and pasta back into my diet - not that I ever ate a lot of those. Just don't get the prepared meals - they're awful. The baked goods are really dry and nasty, but if someone's really hard up for a cupcake or a hamburger bun, they might work for some people.

Was stunned to see just how many varieties these come in-we use them all the time! The ziti works in a baked 'mac' n cheese, the rice in jambalaya, the noodles in pasta. Just make sure you rinse fully (I mean, a lot!) and then toss in a frying pan until they squeak. That way, they seem to soak up the sauces a little better.

Love Shirataki noodles - ZERO CARBS! Great in stir-fry or curry dishes - or just about anywhere you'd use noodles. I can only find them in one style of noodle unfortunately, it'd be nice if they had a variety of shapes/sizes. I've only bought the plain ones - not interested in the pre-flavoured meals - they're kind of scary to me...

I guess I'm going to have to try them. It was the mention of Mac & Cheese that got me. 😁
