Homemade Butter Recipe
Small jar like a baby food jar Heavy Cream Sanitized marble
Place marble in jar Fill jar half way with cream Close jar lid and shake about 8 min until you hear lumpy not liquidy Shake for another minute Strain out liquid(buttermilk) into another jar if you want to keep the buttermilk Remove the marble and discard it Place the lumpy butter in a bowl and cover with cold water Use hands to form into a ball Discard water and rinse 2 more times
butter and/or buttermilk can be stored in airtight container 3-5 days at room temp or 7-10 days refrigerated. Enjoy your fresh, churned butter and buttermilk!
