I think I caught a little bug. Just a bit of a bug. I was nauseated Friday and Saturday, and yesterday my hands were shaking and I started sweating like a fever had broken. I realized I'd probably had a very slight fever for a couple days. That explains why I've been hungrier than usual. I was fighting to stay on the diet and it was a struggle all day not to eat. I've always gotten very hungry when I've been sick; especially when I have a fever. Today I actually felt like I had the flu so I decided to just forget the diet tonight. Not go nuts, but not worry about a few extra calories.
I've always thought it's good to confuse the body often enough so it doesn't get used to functioning on too few calories. The problem is I hate to do it on any given day because it feels like I'm throwing away days of staying on the diet.
Other than this weekend though I don't really feel like I've been on much of a diet. When I'm hungry I eat. The food tastes great, and I don't feel in the least bit deprived. I've gotten used to reasonable amounts of food - One hot dog, or one hamburger, a few chips and some veggies are plenty. I had gotten in the habit of making two hot dogs, or two hamburgers, and a plate full of chips. I actually started counting the number of chips I ate. 10 chips. 10 chips is all I really want. I used to eat about 10 and then just eat a bunch more at the end of the meal because they were there. But they never tasted good after those 10. So - now: 10 chips is all I put on my plate. And on the very rare occasions I want more, I eat them.
Very long winded tonight. I've been alone for 3 days and I'm apparently feeling the lack of human interaction. And I haven't been able to work out both because of work and because I just haven't felt right.
I weighed 133 even this morning. I was surprised. I'm happy with my current weight. I just need to get rid of these few extra pound of fat on my ass and thighs and I'll be able to tone the rest. I'm looking forward to it!
